This is big news for the crypto community.

According to the article the USDC stablecoin is fully collateralized by US dollars.

This is big, and more than for just trading on exchanges.

The stablecoin is an ERC20 coin running on the ethereum network.

It can be used in dApps and exchanges. It’s like a programmable dollar. You need to send someone $10 bucks, send them over 10 USDC’s. Anyone with an ethereum capable wallet can send and receive this stablecoin anytime of day or night. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Coinbase is one of the biggest gateways for most people to buy their first crypto. They are a huge company, in the USA, under regulation. It sounds like good news to me. If you are interested in getting into bitcoin or another crypto, then visit Coinbase and tell them we sent you. You will get $10 free of bitcoin when you sign up and buy $100 or more worth of crypto.
